Frequently Asked Questions

Students must be in 10^th, 11^th, or 12^th grade for admission to the academy.

Students must be on track for graduation.  Enrollment is based on pathway availability.

Students are scheduled for three courses in both the fall and spring semesters, for a total of six classes per school year.

Families are responsible for morning transportation to AAS.  (There is limited morning transportation provided at 7:00 a.m. from each home high school.) Afternoon transportation is provided for all students.

• Block 1:   7:45 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.
• Block 2:   9:20 a.m. – 10:50 a.m.
• Block 3:   10:55 a.m. – 12:50 p.m. (Lunch is during Block 3)

Buses depart  at 1:00 p.m. to take students to their home high schools.

Yes. Students may choose up to 2 courses within a pathway, and 1 course from another pathway.  They may also choose 3 courses from 3 different pathways if their academic schedule permits.

The deadline to apply is Sunday, February 1, 2026, at midnight. 

Everyone who submitted an online registration form will receive a letter by mail indicating whether they have been accepted to AAS. Letters will be mailed on Friday, March 27, 2026. Students who are accepted will have until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, to request a schedule change or withdraw from AAS.

Schedule adjustments may be made as needed to accommodate Dual Enrollment (DE) and Work-Based Learning (WBL). Students taking online courses through Southern Crescent Technical College (SCTC) must provide their own transportation if they need to leave campus during their scheduled online course time.

Yes. Impact Academy students may attend AAS for CTAE and Fine Arts courses only. They must provide their own transportation to and from AAS for their scheduled courses. All academic courses will remain with Impact Academy.
