Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA)
HOSA is a student-led Career and Technical Student Organization for students who are interested in healthcare, medicine, nursing, public health, sports medicine, emergency services, veterinary science, and other health-related careers. As an extension of the Health Science curriculum at AAS, HOSA gives students opportunities to take what they are learning in the classroom and apply it through leadership, competition, service, and career-focused experiences.
Through HOSA, members can develop leadership and communication skills, explore healthcare careers, connect with students and professionals, participate in service activities, attend conferences and rallies, compete in individual and team events, and build skills that prepare them for college and the healthcare workforce.
The HOSA Competitive Events Program allows members to test their knowledge and skills in events representing many areas of the healthcare industry. Students may compete individually or as part of a team, with events ranging from health science and medical knowledge to emergency preparedness, leadership, teamwork, and health professions skills.
Whether you already know exactly which healthcare career you want to pursue or you are just beginning to explore your options, HOSA can help you gain experience, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and discover where your interests can take you.

Why Join HOSA?
HOSA gives students the chance to take their interest in healthcare beyond the classroom. Members can build leadership and communication skills, explore a wide range of health careers, participate in service activities, attend conferences and rallies, and compete in events connected to real healthcare knowledge and skills.
Joining HOSA can also help students strengthen their resumes, prepare for college and career opportunities, and connect with other students who share an interest in health and medicine. Whether you already know the career you want to pursue or are still exploring your options, HOSA provides experiences that can help you learn more about the healthcare field while building confidence, teamwork, professionalism, and leadership skills.
Students interested in joining should see their healthcare teacher at AAS to receive a HOSA membership application. Membership Dues are $60 and include a HOSA chapter T-shirt.

2026 HOSA Fall Rally
HOSA members also have the opportunity to attend the Georgia HOSA Fall Leadership Rally on October 16.
Students planning to attend the Fall Rally must complete their registration and pay HOSA membership dues by September 9, 2026.
