Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is a Career and Technical Student Organization that helps students develop leadership, communication, career-readiness, and professional skills for success in college, careers, and beyond. Through leadership development, service, competition, and career-focused experiences, FBLA gives students opportunities to apply classroom learning while building skills valued across industries.
At AAS, FBLA welcomes students from every career pathway. Although business is part of its name, FBLA is not limited to students in business-related programs. Students in healthcare, engineering, digital media, technology, cosmetology, education, public service, and other pathways can develop skills and experiences that complement their individual career interests.
FBLA competitive events give members opportunities to demonstrate knowledge, creativity, technical skills, and professionalism in areas such as business, finance, entrepreneurship, technology, communication, design, leadership, marketing, public speaking, and career preparation. Depending on the event, students may complete written assessments, develop projects, solve problems, deliver presentations, participate in interviews, or work collaboratively as part of a team.
Through FBLA, students can strengthen communication and leadership skills, explore careers, participate in service activities, attend conferences and workshops, connect with peers and professionals, and gain experiences that support future college and career goals.
Membership
Why Join FBLA?
FBLA gives students opportunities to build skills that are valuable in nearly every career field. Members can strengthen leadership, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and professional skills while becoming more involved in the AAS community.
Membership also provides opportunities to participate in chapter activities, service projects, leadership experiences, conferences, and competitive events. Whether students are preparing for college, technical education, military service, entrepreneurship, or the workforce, FBLA provides experiences that can help build confidence, expand career awareness, and strengthen college and career readiness.
Students from all AAS pathways are welcome and encouraged to join.
Students interested in becoming members should complete the FBLA Membership Application and pay the required membership dues. Additional costs may apply for conferences, competitions, travel, or other special events.
FBLA meets in room 118 on CTSO/Club days.
