DECA
DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for college, careers, and success beyond the classroom. Through hands-on, career-focused experiences, students connect classroom learning to real-world business challenges while strengthening leadership, communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and professional skills.
At AAS, DECA members have opportunities to compete in individual and team events, develop leadership skills, network with students and industry professionals, participate in community service, and gain practical experience in areas such as marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, hospitality, and management.
Whether the next step is college, the workforce, or launching a business, DECA provides opportunities to build confidence, explore career interests, and develop the skills needed to succeed.
Membership
Ready to join DECA?
Membership is open to students enrolled at the Academy for Advanced Studies. To become a member, students simply need to complete the AAS DECA membership application and pay the required membership dues.
DECA membership includes national, state, and AAS chapter membership, along with benefits and opportunities designed to help get the most from the DECA experience. Membership dues include:
- National and Georgia DECA membership fees
- AAS DECA chapter T-shirt
- Official DECA membership pin
- Access to scholarship opportunities
- Refreshments at chapter meetings
- Access to DECA Direct, DECA’s online publication
Joining DECA connects students to a network of students, educators, and professionals while giving access to leadership, competition, scholarship, and career-development opportunities throughout the year.
