Mr. Cedric Nash, Assistant Principal
Mr. Cedric Austin Nash is in his tenth year as an educator in Henry County, and this is his 20th year in education. Striving for excellence and having a no-quit attitude is the way Mr. Nash operates. Mr. Nash’s mother served in the Women’s Army Corps and gave him the drive which eliminated “Can’t” from his vocabulary; his initials spell CAN.
A graduate of Asheville High School, education took him to Brevard College in Brevard, NC, where he received an Associate of Arts degree; High Point University in High Point, NC, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in religion and Christian education; Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC for lateral entry training in education; and East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN for a Masters of Education degree in educational leadership. Currently, Mr. Nash is studying for a Ph.D. in organizational leadership at Anderson University in Anderson, SC.
A devoted and proud veteran of the United States Army, he served from 1992 to 2000. Mr. Nash is married to Clover Anne Cunningham-Nash, and they have two sons; Varian Austin and Aaron Michael Nash.
